Re - Do or Keep The Same????

I see this question quite often on scrapbooking message boards. This page is the very first page I ever scrapbooked and I would never think of "re-doing" it. My journey as a scrapbooker all started while on maternity leave after Emily was born. I headed to Wal-Mart looking for something crafty to work on. I stumbled upon the scrapbooking area, bought a little $20 kit, and I was hooked!

For me, every page I have created is a little bit of history. Not only do they show the progression of our past, but how I have evolved as a scrapbooker. They also show how products have changed over the years. There are lots of pages I look at and remember when I made it. For the first few years, this was often in the wee hours of the morning while my small children were sleeping. When you are passionate and truly enjoy something you can always make a little time for it. Someday your children and families will thank you for recording all the special memories, they are not going to care what the pages look like.

Just enjoy the process!

  1. I agree with you. In my early scrapping days things were more simple. I also remember you saying what is someone's art, might be nothing to someone else, but it's your art. That's how I feel about my early pages. It all is a work in progress, like now what we call die cutting is done by a machine instead of a sticker or stencil, or piecing paper of things we've draw or cut out. I have to say it still is my passion and I like using all the latest toys(etc).
